Job description:
– Design Disaster Recovery Plans
– Define and document a repeatable set of standard activities for planning, testing and implementing procedures that will ensure the optimum recoverability of the critical business functions.

– Hotsite vendor contract negotiation and creation skills
Disaster Recover Plan Implementation (Steady State D/R Coordinator):
– Plan the installation and implementation of Disaster Recovery solution which includes education, conversion, testing and integration activities. Advise and guide users regarding function and performance of Disaster Recovery with all appropriate towers.
Disaster Recovery Support:
– Advise and guide the customer regarding the use of Disaster Recovery processes by using IBM technical resources & tools to answer customer questions and respond to customer requirements.
– Support the customer which may include: Identifying problems related to Disaster Recovery installation, update, configuration, operations or performance.
– Resolving problems.
– Recommend enhancements to solutions/recoverability/technology to customers
– Implement approved resolutions to enhance customer
Disaster Recovery Coordinator Skills (Steady State):

Maintain D/R Plans
Schedule DR exercises/tests
Perform DR exercises/tests
Perform Audit reviews/presentations
Create pretest planning documentation
Perform recovery support
Perform post exercise process
Activities for DR Coordinator :
Disaster Recovery Plan
Create, Implement and Maintain D/R Plans
Develop the Disaster Recovery Plan using a standard planning convention.
Update the DR Plan as necessary to support production changes.
Review the Disaster Recovery Plan on an annual basis or as warranted by business and/or technical changes.
Participate in Internal and External Audits
Single Point of Contact for D/R Related Activities and Deliverables
Represent BCRS or Appropriate Recovery Center to Your Customers
Represent Customers to BCRS or Appropriate Recovery Center
Communications and Promotion of Disaster Recovery
Engagements and Transitions as Required
Audit Readiness of All D/R Related Documentation
Disaster Recovery Exercise Project Planning & Execution
Schedule and perform exercises based on contract requirements.
Develop, Review, and Execute the Disaster Recovery Exercise Plan.
Provide the customer with a DR exercise results document.
Focal point for all teams (Vendors, IBM Crisis Management Team, IBM Recovery Teams, Customer).
Managing Escalations during a disaster recovery execution.
Provide overall project management in the event of a disaster event.
